The City of Geneva is looking for a community member living in Geneva’s first or second ward to join the Ontario County Board of Supervisors as a representative of Geneva and to make decisions with Geneva’s first and second ward in mind.
Applicants must be a resident of either Ward 1 or 2.
Anyone interested can send a letter of intent and resume to the City Clerk, Lori Guinan, at 47 Castle, Geneva, NY 14456. The deadline for applications is August 31st, 2022 with interviews being early September.
What Is The Board Of Supervisors?
The Board of Supervisors is the legislative body for the County of Ontario with one Supervisor representing each of the 16 towns, two Supervisors representing the City of Canandaigua, and three Supervisors representing the City of Geneva.
Each Supervisor is allocated a certain number of weighted votes which is determined by the population of the Town, Ward, or District he/she represents. The Board meets every third Thursday, temporarily meeting at the 74 Ontario St., Board of Supervisor Chamber, 2nd Floor, Canandaigua, NY.
