City of Geneva 2022 Adopted Budget

We are grateful to City Council, staff members and the community for helping us ready our 2022 budget goal of rebuilding the City’s human capital, resources and infrastructure to effectively and efficiently provide the highest level of tax payer value in serving our residents, businesses and visitors.

Here is a summary for the budget financial impact to residents:

  • The property tax rate adopted increase is 2.59%. The increase equates to approximately $42 per $100,000 in assessed property value. 
  • The Worker’s Compensation Rate is decreasing by 6.84%. This decrease equates to $5 per $100,000 in assessed property value.
  • No sewer fund increase.

No Water fund increase for City residents.  Increases may be seen for users outside the city.
