Live Well

Geneva is not only a great place to live, it is a great place to live well.

Geneva is home to an active community. Residents bring varying insight and skills to projects to provide input and produce results for the good of all. Organizations that promote literacy, health, arts education, fair housing and community pride flourish here.

Recreation

Life in Geneva features all the opportunities of lakeside living and an urban center. Geneva is designated the "Lake Trout Capital of the World" and Seneca Lake is the backdrop for many of Geneva's community events, such as the Musselman Triathlon, Seneca7 race, a summer concert series, Cruisin' Night car show and Finger Lakes wine-related events.

Residents and visitors alike also enjoy recreational fishing, canoeing, kayaking, boating and swimming daily in season. These activities are replaced by cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating in the winter. No matter what season it is in the Finger Lakes, you will be surrounded by beauty and activity.

Downtown

Downtown, residents appreciate the eclectic energy of the City's theatre, arts, shopping, dining and businesses. The City of Geneva offers a variety of events that will ensure that all of your senses are alive and well.

Green Living

Centrally located within the natural resource-rich Finger Lakes, Geneva has a flourishing Green movement. A number of businesses in Geneva are dedicated to low-impact production, use of locally-grown or locally-produced goods and sustainable practices.

Eating

Many restaurants use locally grown and raised food to develop regional, in-season menus and showcase Finger Lakes wines alongside that regional fare. Geneva's farmer's market is popular throughout the growing season and the vendors' produce often sells out.
