Youth Dance Classes with Caroline Hamelin

Parent & Me  (Ages 18 months-2 yrs.)
The perfect class for parents and their little one! Class includes: stretching, creative movement, tumble time, partner moves, and freeze dance!
Toddler Dance Time (Ages 2-3 yrs.)
A great class for your little one to burn off some energy! Class includes: stretching, creative movement, circle time, tumble time, and freeze dance! A great class for your toddler to show off their favorite dance moves!
Intro to Ballet & Tap (Ages 4-5 yrs.)
A fabulous class to introduce the basics of ballet and tap to your child! Class includes stretching, circle time, across the floor and partner work, and learning proper names/ techniques of dance moves, all while having fun! (Ballet/Tap shoes, or sneakers
recommended)

Summer Recreation 1/2 Day Program

Dates: July 9-Aug. 17 (Monday-Friday)
Times: 8:30a-12:00pm
Ages: 5-12yrs
Location: FLX Welcome Center — Community Room
Fee: $60 City/Town $70 Non-Residents —per week
Register by the Friday prior to avoid $10 “day of” late registration fee.
FLEX PROGRAM: Register for 2 days—$30/$40.
A summer of fun awaits! Join our staff for daily doses of creative programming and activities that vary each day and week! We’ll visit the farmers market, go for rides along the lake on bikes and offer enriching activities for all involved! Plenty of fun indoors & out-doors in this 6 week long program.

Girl Scouts Outdoor Adventure Badge

Dates: July 16, 23, 30
Times: During Summer Rec (10:30-11:30)
Location: FLX Welcome Center—Community Room
Fee: FREE
If your daughter is enrolled in our Summer Recreation Program, she has the opportunity to participate in the Girl Scout Outdoor Adventure Program (no membership needed)
and receive an Outdoor Adventurer badge. Information on joining a troop in the Fall will also be available.

Read & Recreation Program

Dates: Thursdays July 12 – Aug. 16
Times: 12:45 – 2:00pm
Ages: 8 – 10 yrs.

A City and Library collaboration, this summer program offers kids a weekly adventure of reading, exploring and playing at Lakefront Park. Rain or Shine ready!

Free Outdoor Youth Theatre!

Presented By: Nancy Curvin Playground Players
Dates: Tuesday, July 17 Pulteney Park
Weds. July 25 Lakefront Park (Prior to the concert)
Times: 5:30pm both nights
Join in the fun with an interactive performance by our local youth theatre group! The specific play is TBD. Look for updates at genevarec.com

Audubon Adventure Group

Dates: Tuesdays, July 7, 24, 31 August 14
Times: 12:30 – 5:00pm
Location: Montezuma Audubon Center
Fee: $10 per class, $35 all 4 classes — Space is limited
Activities will vary by week, and will include canoeing, kayaking, hiking, wetland exploration, wildlife themed scavenger hunts and more! Limited transportation is available from our Summer Rec Program, but families and young supervised children are welcome to attend as well. Come join us in exploring one of the Finger Lakes hidden gems!
Pre-Registration is required.

 

Soccer Tots—Ages 3-4yrs
Session 1

Dates: Monday, May 7-June 18 (No Memorial Day Class)

Mondays: 6/25 — 8/6
Times: 5:45 – 6:30pm
Location: GRC — Indoor Turf

Fee: $30 City/Town $40 Non Res. per session

This little kicker program will work with our future soccer stars in a fun and playful environment. Meant as a first time introduction to soccer for children in a fun setting. All equipment provided.

Summer Youth Soccer In-House Program Ages 5-8

Registration Opens: May 1
Deadline: June 1
Team Designation: June 8 (Coaches will contact parents for practice information)
Practices Start: Week of June 11
Games Start: Weekend of June 30 (Saturday Mornings)
Games go through June 30 – Aug. 4 (6 weeks)
Location: Gambee Rd. Fields at GHS
Co-Ed Ages: 5-6yrs and 7-8yrs*
Must be turning 5yrs by May 1st and cannot be over 9yrs by August 4
Team designation based on ages as of June 11
Fee: $55 City/Town and $65 Non-Residents ($5 discount for each additional sibling)

This program will involve 1 practice day determined by the coaches and 1 weekend game through-out the program. We will arrange for a photo day for players and our last week of play will be awards. Registration includes a team jersey.

Youth & Junior Tennis Lessons with Coach Riskie (All Mon – Thurs)

Dates: Session 1: July 30—Aug. 2
Session 2: Aug. 6—9
Ages & Times: 5 – 8yrs 12 – 1pm
9 – 12yrs  1 – 2pm
13 – 17yrs
2 – 3pm
Location: HWS Tennis Courts
Fee: $40 City/Town $50 Non-Res. per session
Coach Riskie will get the kids moving & playing in a fast – paced environment using the NetGeneration USTA model. Lessons are designed to work on the basics of tennis and will incorporate fun interactive games while developing player skills.
Each session consists of 4 consecutive classes
