Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.

The Public Works Department is charged with the operation and maintenance of all public facilities in the City of Geneva. Our crews maintain responsibility for public streets and highways, City parks and buildings, municipal parking facilities, and the water and wastewater systems.

City Projects for Bidders

Several times per year, the Public Works department funds projects to develop and enhance Geneva’s urban infrastructure. Detailed information and plans regarding each project are made publicly available several weeks prior to project commencement. During this time, parties interested in acquiring a project will have the opportunity to review said documentation and place their bid for construction.

RFP DUE 3/15/17 at 4:00pm: The City of Geneva is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design an extension to Long Pier to expand marina capacity, continuing implementation of their Waterfront Infrastructure Feasibility Study.
Design should also include marina docking layout design with boating amenities based on a marina
market evaluation. The City intends to procure contractual services to complete the design and the

RFP DUE 3/17/17 at 4:00pm: Cemetery Creek Flood Management Planning Project. The planning/engineering project will design the best approach for addressing flooding issues caused by sub-surface channeling of Cemetery Creek in Geneva.  The City will hire a planning/engineering firm to identify the root cause of the stormwater/flooding issues, evaluate alternatives and propose recommendations to alleviate the problem. RFQ DUE 3/10/17 at Noon: The City of Geneva, New York is preparing to continue an aggressive capital improvement plan, which consists of complex public infrastructure projects, requiring a range of engineering disciplines. The City is seeking to establish an agreement with a qualified, New York State engineering firm who can support our capital programming and other operational needs.
