GENEVA IDA TO HOST PUBLIC HEARING ON GUARDIAN PILOT AMENDMENT
The City of Geneva’s Industrial Development Agency invites all to attend and participate in a public hearing on proposed amendments to the Guardian Glass payment in lieu of tax agreement. Guardian Glass is proposing to invest $67 million in upgrades to their production facility to extend the life of their plant by nearly 20 years. In exchange for this commitment, the City’s Industrial Development Agency is considering an extension to the property tax phase in arrangement, currently in place.
The hearing will include a presentation by City Manager and IDA Executive Director, Matt Horn, along with questions and answers on the incentive and recording of comments on the proposal. It is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14th, at the Public Safety Building; 255 Exchange Street.
The Geneva Industrial Development Agency can support your project through aggressive relocation and expansion incentives. The Geneva IDA has added over $100 million to the Geneva property value base in its nearly thirty years of operations.
