CALL FOR PROPOSALS PARTNER AGENCY FUNDING ALLOCATIONS 2019 CITY OF GENEVA BUDGET
The City of Geneva has commenced preparation of the investment plan for the 2019 operating year. As in previous years, the City is committed to advancing the principles and projects identified in our comprehensive plan, which serves as the core operating guidance for all of our investments.
The City is seeking proposals from not-for-profits in the community who deliver programs and services that may support advancement toward our vision, and that are in alignment with our core values and planning principles. Specific information on these elements can be found in the City’s comprehensive plan, available at our website (www.cityofgenevany.com – search “comprehensive plan”).
For 2019 investments, proposals will be evaluated in accordance with our Triple Bottom Line (TBL) management philosophy. TBL allows for the City to evaluate its overall performance based on our fiscal responsibility, environmental sustainability and social equity and empowerment, three planning principles guiding the comprehensive plan implementation. This a global concept that organizations of all sizes, both public and private use as a measurement and prioritization tool. To support Triple Bottom Line evaluations, proposals should be formatted to include the following information for any program or service for which the agency is seeking funding support:
Financial Impact: How does the agency’s proposal support the long-term financial sustainability of City operations? Are you proposing to provide a program or service that would be more expensive for us to provide ourselves? If so, please detail this. Please also provide a complete program budget, including total program budget, requested City funds, and leveraged agency funds.
Social Impact: How does the agency’s proposal unite Genevans and create social connections to strengthen our community? What steps has the agency taken to ensure that access to programs and services are available to all segments of the community?
Environmental Impact: How does the agency’s proposal protect or enhance the natural environment in the region? What steps has the agency taken to ensure operations are environmentally sustainable, and free from negative impacts on our natural surroundings?
Proposals should be submitted digitally via email to Sage Gerling, Acting City Manager (email@example.com). Hard copies of proposals should not be submitted and will not be accepted.
PROPOSALS MUST HAVE AN EMAIL TIME STAMP REFLECTING SUBMITTAL PRIOR TO 5 P.M. ON AUGUST 3rd.
Thank you so much for all your organization does to make Geneva a beautiful, prosperous, equitable, connected and sustainable community.
