Geneva Red Wings Announces the “Host Family” Program for the 2017 Season

GENEVA: The Geneva Red Wings are returning in the summer of 2017 for their second season as part of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League at McDonough Park and we are looking for help from our fans.
The Red Wing players will be arriving in town around the end of May and we are looking to place our young ball players with host families for the months of June and July.
General Manager Bill Kohberger said “These players are traveling from all across the country from many different colleges and universities to do one thing, to live out their dream of playing baseball and by providing a home for these young players with a great home environment that translates to a better player performance at the field.”
We are looking for host families willing to commit to the entire season which begins the first of June and going into the first week of August depending on playoffs. Host families are asked to provide a clean, safe environment, including a bedroom for the player staying with them,to provide reasonable use of bathroom and laundry facilities and to provide food for players wishing to fix a meal, i.e. breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Host families will receive several perks throughout the season including season tickets for each member of the immediate family living in the household, a discount on Red Wings merchandise and an on field acknowledgement at one of the home game at McDonough Park.
Kohberger stated “Who knows, you could be the family to give shelter to a future Major League Baseball player.”
